Free Online Receipt Generator
Create a professional payment receipt in seconds and download it as a clean, print-ready PDF - free and private. Your receipt data is processed locally in your browser - there is no sign-up, no watermark, and your details are never uploaded to a server. PDF and QR features may load client-side libraries required for those functions. Enter who paid and who received the payment, record the amount and method, and watch the receipt build itself in the live preview on the right.
Everything a receipt needs
This tool gives you a clean record of a sale or service. Record your business as the receiver and the customer you received the payment from, add what the payment was for as one or more line items, and choose the payment method - cash, bank transfer, card, cheque or online. Enter the amount received and the receipt shows the total, the amount paid and any remaining balance automatically.
You control the currency, the receipt number and date, and the status. A Paid receipt is proof of payment. A Partially paid receipt is a payment record showing the amount received and the balance still due - not proof of full payment. A Draft is clearly marked as a draft document and is not a finalized receipt. Add a note, your terms, a PAID mark, a logo and a QR code, then sign it off to show who received the payment. When you are done, download a print-ready PDF or export the data as JSON to reuse or duplicate for the next customer.
Receipt vs invoice
An invoice is a request for payment, sent before the customer pays. A receipt is proof of payment, issued after the money has been received. In other words, you send an invoice to ask for payment and hand over a receipt to confirm it. This tool creates receipts; use our Invoice Generator to request payment in the first place, or our Quotation Generator to send a price beforehand.
Private by design
Your receipt data is processed locally in your browser. Business details, customer details, logo, and figures are never uploaded to a server, and the PDF file itself is produced on your device. PDF and QR features may load client-side libraries required for those functions - those two features are the only ones that need a network connection, and they fetch code only, never your data. Everything else, including the editor, live preview, saved history and browser printing, works with no connection at all.
How to create a receipt
1. Add your details
Enter your business as the receiver and the customer you received payment from, then set the receipt number and date.
2. Record the payment
Add what the payment was for, choose the payment method, and enter the amount received. Any balance is calculated for you.
3. Style it
Pick a template and accent colour, add your logo, a PAID mark or a QR code, and a signature for who received the payment.
4. Download or send
Download a print-ready PDF, print it directly, or export the data as JSON so you can reuse or duplicate it. Your receipt data never leaves your device.
Who it is for
Shops and market traders hand customers a quick proof of purchase. Freelancers and tradespeople confirm a deposit or final payment. Landlords issue rent receipts. Clubs and charities acknowledge fees and donations. Because the layout is professional, the payment method and balance are built in, and the export is a real PDF, your receipts look credible whether you issue one a week or dozens a day.

Can I embed it in WordPress?
Yes. The interface is a single HTML file with scoped styles, so it fits into a WordPress shortcode, a Gutenberg or Elementor HTML block, or a standalone deployment on Cloudflare Pages, Vercel, or Netlify.
